What we can learn from horrible things

The past twenty-four hours have been rough. Yesterday, I lost my friend. He was more than that though. He was my cousin, my little brother, and my support. I wish I could have told you, Matt, how much I love you and how proud I am of everything you have accomplished. Matthew, you were the most happiest, loving, fun, energetic person I knew.

Life will never be the same without you that is true. However I know you are in a far better place than anyone here still on earth. Matthew, I know you are drumming your days away with Jesus. I know you are looking down at everyone making sure we will be okay. I remember growing up with you and our little brothers. I am so heartbroken you've been taken at such a young age, but I have hope that you are being rewarded and blessed in heaven for being such a godly man.

Thank you for being you, for all the advice you have given me, our jam sessions to Relient K and Blink 182 at the Shoppe, thank you for growing up with me and being the best other brother I could have asked for. I'm so sorry you are no longer here, but I know you are HOME at peace and are enjoying paradise. I can't wait to hug you when I get to heaven. Keep watching over us, okay?

I love you Matthew "link".
